The Common green grasshopper (Omocestus viridulus) is mostly green, but sometimes has brownish sides. The eyes are either brown or yellow. It is found in moderately wet regions of Europe and Britain. The common green grasshopper can be identified by its song which resembles ticking and lasts 20 seconds or more.
