Ruddy-capped nightingale-thrush (Catharus frantzii), is a predominantly brown bird, with a rich song. It has warm rufous tones to the crown, nape and mantle with grey to whitish underparts. It is found over both the Pacific and Caribbean slopes, from southern Mexico south through Costa Rica to western Panama.
