The Marigold Lorikeet (Trichoglossus capistratus), also known as the Sumba Lorikeet, gets its name from the orange-yellow colouration of its breast and underparts, which resembles the colour of marigold flowers. It has a striking yellow-orange to red breast, purple-blue head, and green wings. It's a subspecies of the Rainbow Lorikeet, and its plumage, while similar to the Rainbow Lorikeet, is often described as a "faded" version, with less vibrant blue on the head and the breast being more yellow or orange-yellow. It inhabits the edges of forests and woodlands in Lesser Sunda Islands of Indonesia and East Timor, specifically Wetar, Sumba, Rote, Kisar, and Timor.
