The lesser blue-eared starling (Lamprotornis chloropterus), also known as Swainson's Green-tailed Glossy Starling - occurs naturally in West and Southern Africa, as well as parts of East Africa. The Lesser Blue-eared Starlings resemble the Greater Blue-eared Starling, except the latter have yellow eyes compared to the lesser's orangey eyes.
