The slaty-backed chat-tyrant (Ochthoeca cinnamomeiventris) is a small, blackish flycatcher of riverine habitats in montane northwestern South America. It is mostly dark gray-black with a white eyebrow and rufous chest band. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and heavily degraded former forest.
