Willow Warblers (Phylloscopus trochilus), small birds with grey-green backs and pale under parts, look almost identical to chiffchaffs – song may be the best way of telling them apart. The head has a brown eyestripe and a pale yellow eyebrow. The bill is brown and the legs and feet range in colour from dark brown to flesh-coloured. They breed in Europe and migrate to southern Africa for the winter. The Willow Warbler was formerly called the Willow Wren.
