The black-crested bulbul (Rubigula flaviventris) is greenish-yellow with a dark head and a black erectile crest. Found in the Himalayan foothills of India as well as Burma and southern China, its pale eyes give it an angry or surprised appearance. Male and female are similar in plumage.
