The delicate prinia (Prinia lepida) is a tiny, disproportionately long-tailed, active, and vocal warbler. A resident breeder in southern Asia, from Turkey to North India, it varies from a warm brown to a pale grey-brown or grey. Males often sing from obvious perches. It is mainly found in rather moist habitats within arid zones, including field margins, riparian woodland, scrub, gardens, and wetlands.
