The Giant forest hog (Hylochoerus meinertzhageni) is the largest pig of the 16 pig species (family Suidae) in the world. It is not only their size that makes these hogs stand out, it is also the covering of black or orange hair over most of its body. The Giant Forest Hog can be found in the jungles in West and Central Africa and also in the Rwenzori Mountains and even on Mount Kenya and Ethiopian Highlands. It feeds on grasses, roots, leaves, fruits, and carrion.
