The booted warbler (Iduna caligata) name caligata is Latin for "booted" from caliga, "boot". The caliga was the lightweight Roman Army shoe / boot. It is grey brown above, paler below, with a short, dark-tipped bill and conspicuous pale eyebrow. Pot-bellied with short wings and a square-tipped tail. It breeds from central Russia to western China, and migrates to winter in the Indian subcontinent as far south as Sri Lanka.
