The Indian robin (Copsychus fulicatus) is found close to human habitation in open stony, grassy and scrub forest habitats. It is widespread in the Indian subcontinent, and ranges across Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. It nests in a hole in a wall, tree-stump or bank. Its long tail is held erect and its chestnut under tail covert and dark body make it easily recognisable.
