The White-nosed Coati (Nasua narica) – also known as the coatimundi – is a member of the raccoon family. It is comfortable and agile in the tree tops as well as on the ground, using large, strong claws to dig out its prey when it smells something underground. It is native to South America, Central America, and south-western North America.
