The red-breasted flycatcher (Ficedula parva) male has a distinctive rusty-orange throat that continues to the breast. The male shows brighter plumage than the female. It feeds on low to middle level trees and bushes, making short sallies to catch insects in the air - typical behaviour for flycatchers. The red-breasted Flycatcher breeds in forest and woodland west of Central Asia and winters largely in the Indian Subcontinent except in the northeastern parts.
