The pale-headed rosella (Platycercus adscitus)is a medium-sized, broad-tailed parrot with a distinctive pale yellow head, white cheek patches, and a scalloped black-and-yellow back. It is found in north-eastern Australia and typically inhabits savannah woodlands and forests where it nests in tree hollows or other cavities and feeds on seeds and fruit. Pale-headed Rosellas are skilled whistlers, known for their ability to mimic tunes.
