The black-and-white mannikin (Lonchura bicolor), also known as the black-and-white munia, is a finch found in moist savanna and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest habitats of Western and Central Africa. It is dark brown on its back, with barred black and white flight feathers, rump, sides, and upper tail-coverts. Its beak is blue-grey. A seedeater, it is also known to feed on algae.
