The African thrush (Turdus pelios) is a passerine bird in the thrush family Turdidae. Also known as the West African thrush, it has dark olive-grey upperparts and distinctive pale buff-orange flanks with a yellow-orange bill. The African thrush can be found in all sorts of wooded habitats including forest edge, riparian woodland, scrub cultivation, parks and gardens.
