The glittering-throated emerald (Chionomesa fimbriata) hummingbird has a "glittering" green throat and a white stripe down the centre of the belly. It is metallic green overall with a white spot behind the eyes, an orangish lower mandible, a pale vent, and a bluish-black tail. It is found in Colombia, Venezuela, the Guyanas, through to south-eastern Brazil and south Bolivia.
