The pink-spotted fruit dove (Ptilinopus perlatus) is a colourful dove species known for its unique pink-spotted wings. Its green colouration and pink wing spots help it blend into the forest environment, making it relatively inconspicuous. Also referred to as the pink-spotted pigeon, Pink-spotted fruit doves inhabit lowland and foothill forests, as well as disturbed areas, in Papua New Guinea and surrounding islands.
