The Lacrimose Mountain-tanager (Anisognathus lacrymosus) is named for the tear-like yellow streak under its eyes. It is a South American Tanager found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. The Lacrimose Mountain-Tanager has been recorded at altitudes as high as 3800 m, and it appears to feed largely on berries and fruits, although insects also constitute part of the species’ diet.
