The green-backed trogon (Trogon viridis) males have a bright green back – females have a grey back. The male's undertail is black and white, with each feather having a broad black base and a white tip and outer edge, whereas the female's is similar but has horizontal black-and-white bars. Also known as the Amazonian white-tailed trogon, it is typically found in humid tropical forests of South America, including the Amazon, Guiana Shield, Trinidad, and the Atlantic Forest.
