The Santa Marta toucanet (Aulacorhynchus lautus) is endemic to the Santa Marta Mountains in northern Colombia. The emerald toucanet is a generally common in humid forest and woodland, mainly at higher elevations. It can be identified by its pale grey-blue throat, and blue feathers surrounding the bare yellow-to-orange skin around the eyes. The bill is mostly black with yellow markings being restricted to the upper ridge of the bill.
