An unusual coat, feisty temper and odd gait are amongst the traits that make the Bushbuck antelope (Tragelaphus scriptus) such a fascinating creature. The Bushbuck is a forest-dwelling antelope unlike many of its relatives. It is a browser, not a grazer – so its main diet consists of buds, shrubs and herbs, as well as fruits, tubers and flowers. It is found across many parts of Africa.
