The redhead (Aythya americana) is a medium-sized diving duck that breeds in the northern prairies of the United States and Canada and the intermountain marshes of the west. The male Redhead has yellow eyes, and the bill is light blue-grey with a black tip. The female has a brown head and body and a darker bluish bill with a black tip.
