The rufous-fronted prinia (Prinia buchanani) is named for its rufous-tinged forecrown. A sandy-coloured warbler with a long tail, the pink legs and toes, along with the creamy white underside of the tail, are distinctive. It is found in the subtropical or tropical dry forests of India and Pakistan. It also likes rocky terrains, artificial landscapes, and dry open areas with sparse vegetation, such as plains and hills. It has an energetic foraging style, hopping through dense grass in search of insects.
