The Giant Swallowtail (Papilio cresphontes) is the largest butterfly in the US. It is also known as orange puppy or orange dog since it consumes the orange tree’s leaves, being a potential threat to citrus farms. It is found in several parts of North and central America, extending down south to northern South America.
