The Green Imperial Pigeon's (Ducula aenea) back, wings and tail are metallic green, but the feathers can change to shades from green to purple depending on the light. It prefers to live in the forest, flapping to keep its balance, and often hanging upside down. It breeds in tropical southern Asia from Nepal and India east to Indonesia.
