The social blaze-winged parakeet (Pyrrhura devillei) is named for the bright, fiery orange-red feathers on its wings, which create a striking "blaze" against its green body. It lives in woodland within the Pantanal and Chaco regions of Brazil and Paraguay. It feeds on fruit, seeds, flowers, and nuts. Blaze-winged parakeets are considered Near-Threatened due to habitat loss and fragmentation.
