The Indian spot-billed duck (Anas poecilorhyncha) name is derived from the yellow and red spot on the bill. A dabbling duck in the family Anatidae, males are larger than the females and has an orange red patch at the head of the bill. It is also sometimes known as the spotbill or Grey Duck.
