The Broad Green-winged Grasshopper (Aiolopus strepens) is usually light brown, but sometimes it is green or has green areas / reddish stripes. This Mediterranean warmth-loving species usually inhabits dry environments, low vegetation with areas of free soil, bushes and stony soils. It is found in central and southern Europe, in the Afrotropical realm, in the Near East and in North Africa.
