The African citril (Crithagra citrinelloides), also known as the Abyssinian citril, is named for colour of its breast. A small finch related to the canary, with generally yellowish-green plumage, it is found from Ethiopia and Eritrea to western Kenya. The conical bill is adapted to feeding on seeds by cracking open the hulls.
