The cinnamon flycatcher (Pyrrhomyias cinnamomeus), found in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, is the only member of the genus Pyrrhomyias. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It has rich orange on the underparts, sides of the head, and rump. Orange wing bars and secondary patches contrast with the blackish wings and tail. The back and crown are olive-brown aside from a yellow coronal patch often left concealed.
