The Oriental turtle dove or rufous turtle dove (Streptopelia orientalis) is very similar in plumage to the Eurasian Turtle dove. The Oriental Turtle Dove's is a little darker – its back and rump is usually uniformly dark blue-grey whereas most European Turtle-Doves show a lot of brown. Oriental Turtle Doves are distributed in the central to eastern part of the Eurasian Continent, western Siberia, India, China, Vietnam, Korea and Japan.
