The white-cheeked bulbul, also referred to as the white-eared bulbul or Himalayan bulbul (Pycnonotus leucogenys), is found in south-western Asia from India to the Arabian peninsula. It is the national bird of Bahrain. It is found in scrub forest and gardens as well as in flocks or pairs in the mangroves, gorging on the fruits of the Meswak bush.
