The spotted laughingthrush (Ianthocincla ocellata) has black-and-white spotting on the upper body. Its 'laughing' is a loud and disjointed series of whistles – though despite being named Laughingthrush it neither laughs or belongs to the Thrush family.
It is found in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests in Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, and Nepal.
