The white-winged dove (Zenaida asiatica) has a bold white wing patch that appears as a brilliant white crescent in flight and is also visible at rest. Sexes are similar. It also has a rounded tail with broad white corners on the tip of the tail. Its range extends from the south-western United States through Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. The white-winged dove feeds on a variety of seeds, grains, and fruits.
