The starred agama (Laudakia stellio ), also known as the roughtail rock agama, had an interesting historical benefit – traditionally the excrement of the stellio was a popular medicine for the eyes. Like many agamids, it can change its colour to express its mood. It basks on stone walls, rocks, and trees.
