The yellow-billed duck (Anas undulata) – also known as the African yellow-billed duck, or as the yellow-bill – is a resident breeder in southern and eastern Africa. The male whistles like teal, whilst the female quacks like a mallard. It is a bird of freshwater habitats in fairly open country and feeds by dabbling for plant food mainly in the evening or at night.
