The chestnut-headed sparrow-lark (Eremopterix signatus) upperparts and wings are chestnut with some dark streaking- hence the name. A resident breeder in Africa south of the Sahara Desert, its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, and hot deserts.
