The maroon oriole (Oriolus traillii) has a glowing crimson colouring instead of the ordinary yellow one. The male has maroon and black plumage with a black head, neck and wings and a blueish beak. Females have slightly darker bodies. Found in Southeast Asia from the Himalayas to Indochina, it lives alone or in pairs.
