The Roadside Hawk (Buteo magnirostris) lives in North and Latin America from Mexico to Northeast Argentina. It has grey-brown upperparts and rufous belly with white to buff coarse bars. The tail is banded with a white tip. It flies with stiff, rapid wingbeats and hunts along roadsides – preferring plantations, second-growth woods and field edges, often perching on roadside fence posts or trees.
