The Chestnut-bellied Rock-thrush (Monticola rufiventris) male is dark blue above and orange below, with a dark face. However, the female is completely different – grey and brown with boldly scaled underparts and a whitish crescent behind the ear. It is found in the northern regions of the Indian subcontinent, eastwards towards parts of Southeast Asia.
