The Abyssinian slaty flycatcher (Dioptrornis chocolatinus) is a rather dingy, grey brown bird which normally perches with the typical vertical posture of an Old World flycatcher. A member of the Muscicapidae -- the chats and Old World flycatchers – muscicapids tend to be drably coloured. Its natural habitats are forest, woodland and farmlands in the highlands of Eritrea and Ethiopia.
