The Feral Pigeon (Columba livia domestica) is an extremely common ancestor of the now rare Rock Dove. Also called city dove, city pigeon, or street pigeon, the feral pigeon is also descended from domestic pigeons that have returned to the wild. There is not one identifiable feature that is shown by all feral pigeons, they come in a huge array of colours and plumages.
