The white-browed sparrow-weaver (Plocepasser mahali) has a broad, white eyebrow stripe. The male has a black bill, the female a brown bill. Found in greatest numbers in north-central southern Africa, the white browed sparrow weaver nests along thornveld and scrubby, dry riverbanks.
