The yellow-collared lovebird (Agapornis personatus) has a yellow collar and an expansion of yellow over the nape of the neck. Also called the masked lovebird or eye ring lovebird, it is native to northeast Tanzania and have been introduced to Burundi and Kenya. They are called lovebirds because they like to have companions that they live very close to. In the wild, they eat seeds, tree bark and crops.
