The Oriental magpie robin (Copsychus saularis) – the National bird of Bangladesh – is also known as the Asian magpie-robin or just as the magpie-robin. It is found across most of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia. Common birds in urban gardens as well as forests, they are particularly well known for their songs and were once popular as cage birds.
