The broad-billed roller (Eurystomus glaucurus) is known for its unique, broad, bright yellow bill and its acrobatic flight displays, which involve diving rapidly while rolling its wings and body. Also known as the cinnamon roller, it is found in open woodlands, savannas, and riverine forests across tropical Africa and Madagascar. This roller comes to life in the late afternoon, when they hunt for the swarming ants and termites on which they feed, sometimes in groups of 100 or more rollers. They drink like swallows, dipping their bills into water in flight.
