The bloody-nosed beetle (Timarcha tenebricosa), also called blood spewer or blood-spewing beetle, is a leaf beetle native to Europe. As a defensive behaviour, it releases droplets of its bright red-orange hemolymph (blood) which is foul-tasting to predators.
