The green-cheeked parakeet (Pyrrhura molinae), also known as green cheeked conure, is dull brown from forehead to nape and has green cheeks. A small, playful, and intelligent parrot, it is native to South America and found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay. In the wild, they work together to find food, protect their nests, and defend against predators. Besides the common green-cheeked variety, there are also less common colour mutations, such as the green/red/blue apple varieties.
