The Jersey grasshopper or sharp-tailed grasshopper (Euchorthippus declivus) is possibly the commonest grasshopper on Jersey where, as in continental Europe, it occurs in a range of habitats. Typically it is sandy-coloured with a dark stripe behind the eyes.
